The city of Metz is continuing with its mutation. A stone’s throw from the TGV station and the Centre Pompidou-Metz, the cranes are in motion to erect a new innovative project scheduled to open in 2017: Muse. This concept will gather together 37,000 m2 of shops, 10,000 m2 of offices and 400 homes on the same site. The developer is banking on an influx of around 7 million visitors a year.
Metz blijft zijn grote projecten toevertrouwen aan gerenommeerde architecten. Deze keer staat Jean-Paul Viguier in voor het ontwerp van Muse. Daarmee komt hij op de lijst van prestigieuze namen die het landschap van Lotharingen in een nieuw kleedje steken, zoals Shigeru Ban (Centre Pompidou-Metz), Jean-Michel Wilmotte (het nieuwe Congrescentrum), Philippe Starck (het hotel van de wijk van het Amfitheater) of Elisabeth en Christian de Portzamparc (de residenties Pont de Lumière).
